Hey everyone,

this has been bugging me for a while, so, can someone change the DM for the wings so that if you hit the inner wing hard enough that it blows the wing off that the mid wing and outer wing sections dont fall apart too? like in Lock On? and maybe do it for the tail as well? and then, if possiblemake it so when you do knock the wings off, they kinda twist off before falling away as they do in Ace Combat Assault Horizon?

this doesnt have to be done, i just thought it would be more realistic and emersive.

This has been discussed in the past. Making the wing DM more like RoF.
If I recall the conclusion is that IL2 is not complex enough and the DM system is such that this is unlikely to happen.
But that being said, they have been pulling some spectacular stuff out lately, so who knows.

I disgaree, this can be done and is not too difficult to do - the DM of Il2 is very versatile and allows the modder to do almost anything (between collision boxes and java)  - the real issue is "what really happens" when a wing is shot / explodes, and "whether it's worth investing time" in doing such a "mod inside a mod".

when the wing goes... the last thing i worry about is baout how unawesome it looked.
it'll be gone  when my horizon starts to spin uncontrollably, and then its time to bail out anyway.
