Great news to hear these are being worked on Epervier. If I could have one criticism though, I appreciate they are not finished, the wings and engines on the Halifax seem to be those of the Lancaster, which are totally different to those on the Halifax. I have several books on the Aircraft I could send you if you like? Just let me know.

P.s could the turret on the Manchester be swapped for that on the Stirling, which I believe is that of the Sunderland.

Question for the Chief Maquisard (from the French Resistance  SAS~Epervier,
do you have news from the IL2-1946 Aviation community
if someone is working on any of those RAF gliders to fly yet?
Those "Horsa" gliders from D-Day.

We have them only as static models at this moment. I am not sure if they are any
good to make as flyable because they would need a complete new 3d-model and
cockpit. But perhaps it might be possible (?)
The RAF Stirling were used to tow the Horsa Gliders on D-Day.

This is not my job! I can't do this kind of 3D work.
The Halifax is a franken... yes! Alas!
But to make an airplane of this kind takes a lot of time!
Ask Mission_bug! He knows how long it takes to make a mono engine like the Lysander...

But even a franken can be of a very honourable quality and it has the merit to exist and to make us wait for a moddeur to launch in the total manufacture of an airplane of this kind...

We were talking about the MkI or MkII Halifax, rather than the very good MkIII you have supplied. The MkIII did not enter squadron service until 1944. The earlier models were very widely used, and substantially different that a MkIII doesn't really pass as a MkI/II

Mk.I, Mk.II and GR.II I guess we can classify them as "franken". Turrets, engines, nose, ... no ?
"franken" is not pejorative.
It's better to have a good "franken" than a bad "original"!

While I in no way mind a Franken aircraft, the Halfax MkI/II is so far from what it should look like to be unusable by me personally.

I do not mean this as derogatory to the hard work and skill that is needed to accomplish this model, far and away better than I could ever imagine to do myself.

I'm sorry to disappoint you. But I don't think the Stirling you saw in a screen is coming into being.
His condition is too precarious. And I'm not the one working on this project.

   This brings me great sadness.  I would encourage the maker to post it anyway in the hopes someone else could help make it better.
