Hey 43 Airacobra,

It looks OK and I can't tell at a glance where your issue is until we have a little more information.

1-You can play in Single Player mode, so do the missions work OK there?  Do all the missions load OK from the Single Mission menu?

2-You cannot play the campaign, why not, what happens exactly, what does the error log report? (this is a text file in the main Il2 directory which is updated after a crash.

3-Can you play other campaigns?

4-It may be that something is missing from the campaign folder, what is the size of your folder _1940_The _Flying_Tigers, both in Single and Campaign directories?

At this stage we have to work out whether you have a specific problem with one function or folder or are more generally screwed up...

No worries, we will take a closer look together.

One other really useful diagnostic: Can you take a screenshot of your JSGME open menu and can you also take a screenshot of your #DBW folder?  By comparing the two I can easily spot anything out of place.  You don't have to post them, just pm them to me or email if you like.

https://www.mediafire.com/?bxez2kcbkgp1xb6

Hi Monty27,

As many others have said, this is a really good campaign, I'm ten missions in and it's a lot of fun.

I do have one comment for you to consider, perhaps for future campaigns; while the random ai feature is good for fighters, it does tend to make bomber gunners a bit too sniper-like and other than the SB's at the start of the campaign, the KI-21's and D3A's gunners are very, very deadly, even head-on passes usually result in a shot out engine with the glass-jawed Allisons in the P-40's ;).

I also build missions/campaigns and have found that rookie gunners will still get you between the eyes if you're not careful but allow you to get at least a few passes in before being awarded the 'Order of the Golden BB' ;D.

Thanks again!

Glad you can fly this OK.  I always treat the P-40 as a high energy fighter, boom n zoom the whole time.  With bomber formations a beam-pass works well, cut through 'em and keep your speed up.

I am currently building and flying a new version of this campaign having upgraded my rig recently.  While the Tigers stay the same, there are many more enemy aircraft!

I will bear in mind what you said though, and keep an eye on that AI, maybe for bomber intercepts the random factor could be trimmed, thanks for sharing your thoughts.

Simon, can you tell us please which additional planes are used for this particular campaign?

I like the idea of windweapons packs but i have a highly modified UP/DBW install which makes it nearly impossible for me to use them - at least the planes pack. I only want to install the planes which are used, because of the game limit concerning the number of installed planes.

Sure thing Boelcke:

Non-standard:
F6C4Hawk
L_5_Float - (Amphibian Version)

The rest are DBW standard P-40s, Hawks, Oscars, Bettys etc...

But what about the objects?
CY6s Command and Control (V2 at present)
Epervier's new vehicles...

In fact there is a lot of content in DBW_Static_Mod that you may want to look through as well.

I am ready :P 24 kills on the last one and many many ground kills. Only lost 6 planes. Next AVG campaign i think i will be a Squadron commander. Gives me a little more control of my AIs. I'm ready for some more P-40 boom and zoom. Right now I am half way thru the 109 campaign. Dam spits and hurries are mighty tough, but I'm holding my own. Thanks Simon.
