Hello all, I've just flooded Mahon.:'(

It took many hours to sort out how to change the map_c because it's been that long since I did anything with water but I can now open up Mahon to the ocean properly. ;)

Stay tuned.

Wishing you all the very best, Pete. ;D

Well, Spain's pretty dry in summer. They probably need all the water they can get. It won't do the jet ski, and dive school sector any harm. I've finished the 2nd mission of the Balaeric Breguets campaign.

cheers

Hello all, I've now uploaded version 2 of the altered map, see first post of the map thread.

Work on map_c has allowed the harbour to be better devoloped for seaplane operations with all take off and landing waypoints now within the dock area.   All objects around the waters edge have needed to be re-positioned so check any missions you may have created. ;)

Unfortunately the water isn't wide or deep enough to operate ships from, to have made that possible it would have been necessary to widen the water way to a width that may have made the bay look entirely out of proportion.  The changes do improve the look though.

The seaplane take off and landing waypoints at Valencia have now been brought closer to the harbour and some raised land along the harbour has been adjusted to improve the appearence.

Wishing you all the very best, Pete.  ;D

I have just completed my "Battle for Madrid" campaign (it's waiting to be OK-ed at mission4today). While working on it on two occasions I got the infamous "aircraft-starting-suspended-above-the-runway-with-zero-speed-and-then-crashing" - bug. On both occasions it was connected with other flights of aircraft in the air. (And Giottos SM.81 wasn't even in the mission.) In the first case a flight of Nieuport 52's, in the second case a flight of Dewoitine 310's. It completely disappeared when I switched the other aircraft. (It is NOT connected to the players aircraft AFAIK: it didn't matter what aircraft THAT was: even stock aircraft started in mid air etc.)

Notice: in other missions the Nieuport and Dewoitine worked just fine. Strange.  :o

Just wanted to share this. It could be just me, or it could be some weird clash. There is a simple work-around: use other aircraft.

Again: thanks for a gorgeous set of aircraft DreamK! Completely immersed in the SCW right now!  ;D

Hi Poltava, I've came across this problem several times with some of Dreamk's new aircraft, especially the fighter a/c that you mentioned.

I discovered that having selected a skin for the AI controlled a/c I had left the 'markings on' checked and un-checking cured the problem. Have a look at the missions that crashed and see if that was the problem.

Cheers - Redfox

This Battle for Madrid campaign by Poltava is one of the best SCW campaigns I've ever seen. Really well documented and detailed, plus great fun to play. Thanks a lot.  :)

Thanks for those kind words Juan! ;) And thank you for the help with building the campaign, that uses seven of DreamK's new aircraft.

Hi Dreamk I thought that might be the case. As for real life? Who needs it? It just gets in the way of the important stuff.

A few days ago, I commented on another thread. The gist of it was that if there is no news from Dreamk for a few weeks, people shouldn't worry. One fine day, he'll have something new for us to d/l. And everyone will be pleasantly surprised. You have quite a few WWI planes at an advanced state too don't you? I saw references and pics on a WWI thread. Like everything else you release they'll be most welcome. Take all the time you need.

cheers

David

To tell you the truth, I am STILL quite busy with the last wonderful wave of DreamK's mod aircraft, so I can really wait.

DreamK - you rule! Take your time. ;)
