I can wait too. It was all I could think of at work Friday. I've been busy this last few days. There is a mission pack over at M4T with a missison for each of these planes. I've used the historical version. The Morane with it's 20mm cannon is a good bomber killer. The missions are quick and dirty. They're not meant to be historical. I might do a single mission for the Finnish Bulldog too. It'll have to wait until the Dornier 17 campaign is up though.

cheers

It's impressive how fast you work your missions, David. Great work.  :)

Well, I only work from 2:30 to 6:00. So I have plenty of time. I laid down several campaigns between November and February. So, I use some of them as templates. A Republican campaign around Vizcaya-Bilbao would be fairly easy. It would probably feature the GL33. A short campaign for the Finnish Bulldog would be fairly easy too. One could do a quick one set during the brief battle of Malaga. Ditto for the Balaerics.

I guess you'll be skinning some of these planes? Thanks for the Junkers F13 skins. I finally got it working.

cheers

I'm on it, but I have to recognize that I used my few free time moments to fool around a little bit with all the new stuff.

I'm on it,

[DJP]  I thought you would be. I guess a lot of other people are too. Some of these planes would make good stand ins for the Gran Chaco war. The Dornier 17 campaign is almost good to go.

Should anyone be interested, here are retex versions of the Chaco and Aragon maps ...

Aragon is mostly the same except for new textures / Chaco is also new re textures, texture mapping, terrain heights and most villages have been redone. Airfields are still as in original version though ...

OK, I've got the new Chaco map. Did you remember to put an .ini in the dl?  Anyway, I got it working in DBW 1.6. I'll fly a Corsair over it later to see what it looks like from the air.

cheers

DBW should already contain the necessary line for the Chaco map. The map folder itself only contains modified files for the map, not all.

And when you take a look, I usually make maps that look best from 1500m and lower ... these are not hi altitude maps for aerial combat way above the clouds ... my missions are usually around 500m and with hazy or poor weather ...

You are right about the .ini. A lot of my missions are at lowish altitude, or in poor weather too. Or they're early in the morning. I flew a Catfish around the map yesterday. It loooks OK. I found out that the Macchi flying boat  was used in the Gran Chaco war. The Republicans used them in the Balaerics campaign too.  There is one for 410, I'd like to get it. It would serve just fine. I'l, do some research, and do a mission tonight.

cheers

I have no words to write, all these new planes about the SCW are fantastic, it's an awesome lot of work done in a very short amount of time, I really have no words, thank you.
