Hello. Is it possible to build and "invisible target" that works or is seen by the AI as a vehicle or armor?

When making a mission where you want to attack or strafe an object, for example, a house or a clock tower... it is impossible to get the AI wingmen to attack it. There are no commands for it. You have to set up "inside" some sort of armor or truck or bycicle to trick the AI to attack.

I figured that if someone made an invisible truck you can park wherever you want the targe to be, when you give the order to attack vehicle the wingmen AI will go for it. it could be used to set up attacks on hills, suspected troop postions, trees, bushes, or ground target markers or smoke and flares... just set up the invisble truck besides it.

So, anyone up for the task? Or any hints how to do it... I have been looking for some sort of tutorial on how to build a tank or truck for the game, and then try to make it invisible or very tiny so it is hard to see, but have found nothing so far...

Try putting an ordinary truck inside the building. Should work.

Wow, thanks KiwiBiggles, I'll check it out!

Another thing I was thinking... the invisible target vehicle/stationary object should be indestructible, or nearly so. That way sucessive waves of attackers can go after it. I am visualizing a scenario where I fly with a 8 plane formation of fighter-bombers where the FAC directs me to a bush of trees to drop rockest and bombs at a suspected site full of enemy troops. I then loiter around coordinating the attack sending in pairs of wingmen. It cool be really cool...

Anything invisible will do, as long as it can be used to order planes to attack it with the wingmen command. How do you make an invisible kulbenwagen? With alpha textures?

I understand in theory what you just wrote... but in practice I have no idea how to start building this mod.

So, as I see it, I could grab a fuel truck, make a copy/clone of it so I still have the working original, make this new clone invisible by editing its part as Hidden. And now I have an invisible vehicle for wingmen to target.

A bunch of questions about it:

1. Can I make it indestructible?
2. If I leave it destructible, will it explode and the explosion be visible?
3. Will it show up in the map as an icon?
4. How do I build this mod, technically, step-by-step?
5. Will it be affected by Command and Control random objects mod?

The more I think about it the more I love the idea: Imagine having one invisible indestructible fuel truck and one that is destructible. You could put in one place the indestructible and around it a few of the exploding ones. You send in your wingmen and you yourself attack the area by strafing/bombs/rockets and get some nice explosions to represent you hitting troops or hidden weapons caches, fuel depot, ect... and by using the C&C mod you can randomize the apperance of the exploding invisible trucks... so your wingmen will go ahead and attack the indestructible invisible target, but if the exploding ones don't show up in that specific instance of the mission, you don't get any sign of actually having hit something... for the player flying it looks like the intelligence was wrong and it was just a suspected depot, or the troops moved away, or there was nothing in the target area...

Can someone please help me make this?
