Great start – very nice details. With Asheshouse by your side you can’t go wrong.
Hopefully the start of creating H force for the Med  ;)

hi guys,

few words: my wip is going on  slowly...

on the first shot you will see an opening with shadows

now I have to do all other openings (the blue ones...) with the same effect

for the shadows, please take a look at the default airplane shack. when you are inside, there is a polygon that determines the shadow
in the attached pic, i made it grey.

The polygon has non-destructive properties, and is visually semitransparent (alphachannel).
the texture that it is covered in has a greyscale applied to it. near the top of the shack, its dark, and becomes gradually lighter near the bottom.

applied as one big polygon stretching inside teh carrier, from the first of a series of cut-outs, to the last one, this could save you some serious time.

here is a better screenshot - look out the back of the shack - you will see the faded texture makes the sky darker.
look at the wall on the left, the difference between light and dark shows you how and where the polygon is placed.

you can do the same i think :)

Hi,

it could be something like this....

the grey you see it is a simple "grey plane" with 60% opacity

exactly.

Unfortunately i can not do more than look and observe - but i see you have understood the concept.
no more waste of time painting shadows... and being frustrated because they look different in some daylight conditions. Let the polygones and the gamedo the "painting".

:) very good!
