v1.0 posted

Most of the smoothing issues were dealt so this is first normal version.
Also new UVs for superstructure and some details(searchlights)
and LOD4 with distance 15000 done.

Left to do:
*Fix some small remaining smoothing issues
Will do that once I get some time, not in the near future it seems though. I hope the major smoothing issues were dealt with.

For those of you who want the cold war version plz try to research material for it and send it to me by pm.
I will store your photos and rest stuff so when i get time again I can give it a shot.
May not have time to browse through forums for some time so use pm.

The battening of hatches, the tramp of crew tramplleing to their stations, and the clank of munitions being readied, is more than a rumour, its becoming the hubbub of preperations...

Good luck and continuned luck & progress on this ship/class 8)

Tested it out the simplest way possible, made her sail alongside the Tirpitz at range 100m and made them slug it out and see who won.....utterly destroyed Tirpitz. Then I put Tirpitz on one side and the Warspite on the other, managed to sink both of them with heavy damage to herself. I had to arrange for the King George V to help Tirpitz gangbash the Iowa to death.

:o  Amazing work you did here sir. FR is frame rate. I have a fairly fast computer (though a bit aged, and the only things I've had trouble with running object wise are a few of the new ships; has to do with the type textures used I believe (8 bit v 24 bit I think?). The Colorado class BBs at Pearl harbor just lock me down, while a brit BB and an Italian one gag my computer a bit less. I look forward to this.

And I believe that would be the Wisconsin and Missouri, of the New Jersey class, as they were the only two BBs we still had in service in the 91 Gulf war (and still retired them despite their effectiveness).

The cold war versions that re-entered service in the mid 80s had Multiple quad launchers for 32 Tomahawk cruise missles, 16 Harpoon ASMs, and 4 Phanlanx 20mm CIS defense systems. Also had a landing platform for helicopters aft. This project could keep you busy for a couple of decades.

Ok I need to clarify sth again it seems.
My project is only about making the Iowa and the Korean/Vietnam era refit of this ship.

I do not intend nor have the time to do all variants of this ship class.
Why? cause it's simply too much work in details that needs to be done. Simply painting a different name won't do.

I have limited time atm, DO not expect any other variant plz.

Lol you would need every other ship in the game Combined to take her down.

@Diving_Hawk

It looks really good! I myself have some of the ships which I was in IL2 install. But I find no instructions for the installation of the ships.  >:( I only have the 3D-model. But then what will we do? Can you help me?  ::)

Sounds interesting.
Have you got any images of the 3D models.
Might be worth opening a new thread instead of filling up the Iowa thread.

I'd be happy to help to get these into the game.
