Ok
All guns are now in place.
Rangefinders and radar also,
Moving flag is also there, had to see how it's done from Yorktown CV10, plz dear modder that built this ship contact me so i can give you proper credit.

The main rangefinder I don't think that it was in il2 so I had to build it.
Radar is same as Essex for now at least.

I started making the Mk7 gun class

Now all I'm missing is those small searchlight objects. has any ship in il2 currently got searchlight things for eye candy?
Oh and I have to go through some photos to see where the lifeboats were put.

=EDIT=
It was a good thing to see the java classes againc ause I also corrected a "leftover" inaccuracy in Type 94 gun class too.
Anyway Mk7 class is done. Now I've put this against Yamato obviously and waiting for result. :)

When modeling direction is not rotated
(X-plus = front and Y-plus = left , in Hier.him Attaching 1 0 0 0 1 0 0 0 1 x y z)
my Hooks are like here

Code: [Select]
[Hooks]
_Centre <BASE>
_Left <BASE>
_Nose <BASE>
_Prop <BASE>
_Right <BASE>

[HookLoc]
-1 0 0 0 -1 0 0 0 1 -5.4428 0.0000 0.0000
0 1 0 -1 0 0 0 0 1 -5.5637 15.6041 0.0000
1 0 0 0 1 0 0 0 1 102.3810 0.0000 0.0000
-1 0 0 0 -1 0 0 0 1 -116.9790 0.0000 0.0000
0 -1 0 1 0 0 0 0 1 -5.5637 -15.6040 0.0000

_Centre _Left _Prop _Right need rotated.

And when .msh is rotated in Hier.him ,
Hooks rotating and positioning is different.
I don't have such a sample .msh.

That would explain it.

In previous ships I used the hook info that was ingame already + same rotation.
Now I'll fix this.

Cheers m8,
It's fixed now.

Now I can go closer to beta version, thank you!
Maybe tomorrow , if no bugs come out ( and they do have a tendency to do that now, don't they?)

She's coming along nicely! Can't wait to form my own Battleship Battle Group :D
Forgive me for asking, but is the blue colour of the deck a placeholder or default? I only ask because on the Iowa class, as well as most battleships, the deck was orange-brown because of the non-metallic, teak wood planking.

Once again, good work!

To answer the question,

Deck colour is not final, I only put weathering because I wanted to see how the ship would be.
It's one of those little things I need to do before beta release.
However Superstructure deck colour is final since on superstructure it's metal.

But plz don't expect miracles I'm not the best texturer in here. Will do my best but we will see...

Oh, I understand, and I hope you do not mistake my question for anything else than curiosity. Frankly, I believe a miracle here has already been performed after seeing the loving care and effort you've clearly already applied to creating this magnificent model.

Once again, looking very forward to seeing your handiwork liberate the Pacific :D

1st beta is posted here:
https://www.sas1946.com/main/index.php/topic,27936.0.html

Everything is fully working together with correct mk7 classfile , that's why I posted it in Mods section rather than WIP. Technically it's not WIP any more, simply optimizing if I find some ways to do that.

I will be semi-afk for the next ~30 days so any further work will be done after that.

Hi!
I respect your HARD WORK.

I download v0.9BETA and look aroung the model.

I found smoothing (Normals) problems on her.
Smoothing (Normals) problems show us strange light reflection or brightness.
