S!

Catalyst 10.3a do not fix blocky text in IL-2. Performance of these drivers is good though, even noticed a strange thing when comparing them with and without atioglxx.dll in IL-2 folder. Results below on 1920x1200, Perfect settings.

10.3a with 9.10 dll file in IL-2
Min 22fps Max 304fps Avg 95fps

10.3a without dll file in IL-2
Min 22fps Max 284fps Avg 95fps

So we still have to wait a bit, maybe in 10.4's. And now with these drivers, file the feedback form again

Hm, okay i'm having a hard time following the flow of this thread, so does the 9.10dll fixthe blocky text in the newer drivers? or not?  I'm also having a problem of my own where i reverted from the 10.2 drivers to 9.10 drivers but now the game is completely unplayable in opengl mode, still have to play it with directx no matter what settings i put catalyst at.  Tried numerous conf settings, can't do anything with it.  Thought I saw something about that in this thread but looked back through and couldn't find anything.  I've wiped all references to ATI with driver sweeper whenever i reinstall the drivers, can't get it to work for the life of me.  put the atioglxx.dll in the il-2 folder... still nothing.  Anyone encountered this and knows a fix?

Hi, had same problems as mentioned above with my ATI 4850 (Open GL perfect mode, unreadable fonts etc-gonna try in a minute trick with that damn blue hue) - fortunately I've found the answer over the AAA forum-same as over here. 9.10 works fine for me though I have newest catalyst installed on Vista. I'll stick to it. No noticeable FPS loss with AA,AAA,AF and VS on.And I'm talking about at least 50 planes in the air in the same time.

Intel Core i7 socket 1366 940 2.93ghz CPU
ATI Radeon 4870x2 (tried every tweak, catalyst AI on/off, opengl buffering on/off, etc, no difference)
12gb DDR3 1333 RAM
500gb Sata3 7,200rpm 32mb cache hd

This is more than enough computer to run this game, lol, i've been playing since the game came out and this only started since i installed the newer drivers and tried to revert to the older ones. :-S

Just asking but have you looked here  http://ultrapack.tuttovola.org/index.php/topic,2.0.html  for config settings? Your PC is well capable of running perfect settings, lets find out what the problem is.

Yep, went through that page.  I do use il-2 stab and have implemented some tweaks in that but they're the same tweaks i always used to use and it freaks out whether i have il-2 stab installed or not.  Sorry for the shortness of my replies if they seem frustrated, i'm doing about a million things at once whiel trying to get out for a date on St. Patty's! lol
