I have just installed the 10.3 drivers and they seem to be working fine.  I should qualify that, since I'm sure that you guys probably have pretty much higher standards than I do.  I'm not sure whether I told this before, if not, here it is.  If I have, sorry, but that's what comes from being old.  U.P. 2.0n seems to have solved dang near all my game problems.  The blocky text is gone, without using the Atioglxx.dll (I forgot to do it with the fresh install).  A campaign I play, Fighterboys, will save now.  Maybe it was the fresh install, but all seems well.  Now if I could just learn how to not get shot down all the time.

So, any good words on 10.3 or OGL Drivers. My thoughts, a hell of a lot better than previous. Cat. Makers are getting close, and yes this Sim is not priority with ATI/AMD but to us it is. Thanks for replies.

S!

Reported the blue hue issue aka vertex arrays as well. Make sure to file yours too :) None of the lately released drivers 10.3 official, 10.3a or 10.3b have a fix for IL-2. We have to wait a bit :)

Where do you get the 10.3a and b drivers from?  I've just downloaded the 10.3 with the OpenGL drivers for windows 7 from the link in these threads.

I updated my drivers from 9.8 to 10.3 and now I have the blue hue too. :(
I will downgrade to 9.8 again and I will be happy until ATI makes the fix. :P

S!

Santobr, just open IL2Setup and disable Vertex Arrays and Vertex Array Extensions or find the same entries in conf.ini under [Render_OpenGL] and change the 2 entries from 1 to 0 and save. No more blue hue.

Oh, sorry. :-[
I  said blue hue, but I mean blockiness issue. :P
I can't read anything until I play "The Black Death" track. ???
This wasn't happening with 9.8 version drivers.

Sorry again and thank you, mate. ;)

S!

Just drop the atioglxx.dll from 9.10 drivers in the IL-2 folder and you are good to go..or from the ones you used before :)

Yes, I will try that.
Or maybe I will copy the "The Black Death" to the intro track and every time I run IL-2 it will play that track for me. ;)

Thanks, mate. :)

Hmmm... well now i have another weird issue coming up.  I haven't played any campaigns in a long while so i decided to give one a go, loaded it up, all fine, played my first mission, ended it and the debriefing screen seems to totally freaked out.  The box with the text flickers and disappears when i click on it and the cursor disappears anywhere but on the map screen, making it a real pain to save mission tracks for later review or refly missions (advancing to the next mission isn't so hard, you just gotta hit enter) anyway, if anyone knows how to fix this would be awesome.  I'm sure it's a driver issue... I remember seeing this problem posted somewhere before but after tearing here and AAA apart i couldn't find it so I'm coming to my favorite place for all my Il-2 needs and wondering if anyone else has experienced similar!  thanks in advance!

S!

Kleinnak, please post your conf.ini section [Render_OpenGL], card and driver version + Catalyst Control Center settings. Will take a look :) Best results for other cards than 5xxx series is to use 9.10 or earlier drivers. For 5xxx series dropping the atioglxx.dll from 9.10's to IL-2 solves problems in most cases.
