Well i updated to 10.4 lately and detected no additonal problems or advantages so far - in IL-2 Sturmovik. Playing Battlefield Bad Company 2 it shortened loading times a lot and some but not all of the graphic issues are gone now. Still need the cat. 10 atioglxx.dll to avoid the blocky text issue but it is working well with my 5870. Sometimes graphic flickerings/flashing when firing guns, but had this since i bought this video card, with all ati drivers since 9.12.

My system: i7-860, XFX 5870, 8 GB RAM and windows 7 home premium 64 bit

S!

Blue hue with Vertex Arrays gone with disabling Dynamical Lights in conf.ini. Just set from 1 to 0 and you can use Vertex Arrays on. Blocky text yet to be solved with new drivers.

I stuck with drivers supplied on CD with my ATI  HD3850 AGP,i have tried all catalysts and agp fixes they release and still got that blocky text.Worse, when i tried use atioglxx.dll placed on game directory game load with white backgroung and when finally menu loaded cursor in game respond very slow and i had to go back to windows and kill il2fb.exe via  taskmanager.

If you use the "atioglxx.dll" with drivers prior to- you will get the white screen "I think". It happened to me too. I have ATI Rad. 4870 1024 and using 10.4 drivers with the  9.10.dll and my settings are @ 100% full. I dont get the blue hue or any thing different or unusual other than blocky text w/o the .dll....

S!

ATI has released Catalyst 10.5 drivers and they have stated in release notes that the blocky text corruption in IL-2 has been resolved. Get your drivers here: http://game.amd.com/us-en/drivers_catalyst.aspx

Thank you to all who provided feedback and to Coastie! Now grab the drivers and game on!

Great, text and on-screen menu corruption are back again in 10.6 Beta. I just hope they fix it for the final version   :'(

S!

Seems people get flashing propellor disks and wind screens etc. with latest 10.5. And this with AA enabled. I did post somewhere that people could try experiment with Catalyst AI on Standard or Advanced if it helps. Usually I had it Off. Also Dynamical Light to 0 can help with blue hue if Vertex Arrays are On. ATI is aware of the flashing issue though, but make sure to post to the feedback.
