S!

Drop atioglxx.dll from 9.10 to IL2 folder and you are good to go. DISABLE Catalyst AI, AA Mode to Performance. In conf.ini at OGL settings set off DepthClampNV and VertexArray(both of them) and you should not have blue hue.

Seems all probs are solved now. With the settings recommended by Flanker35M (THX a lot!!!) the game is running smooth and in splendid 1920 x 1080 res. perfect mode graphics.
It's a real joy to have no more stutters, lags - i was so tired of it - and graphic issues.

S!

You are welcome, glad it helped! I ran some tests with the latest betas floating around and got 56fps average in The Black Death track. I have VSync on. The blocky text was there, but cleared after a bit when track started. No blue hue or whatever, using same settings as before in conf.ini and CCC. It seems the game "waits" with the new drivers when loading graphics, then snaps to corrupted. With 9.10 this does not happen. The corruption happens only when loading for the first time, not if you run tracks or game after initial loading. Kind of strange. So until a fix comes will be using 9.10 dll in IL2 folder.

10.1 comes today, it's confirmed. But as I said it's probably based on latest leaked betas.

S!

Gonna run a series of tests with them and report here. Thank you for the tip Der W! 8) Noticed also that the cockpit pack does not like Edge Detect AA at all, some needles in the cockpit disappear, like ATA etc. Others work fine, but using Box 2x or 4x as I run 1920x1200 resolution.

I'm using Edge-detect 12X and I have no missing needles at all.

S!

More fiddling with conf.ini and noted a thing that are connected to the "blue hue" when firing guns or being near explosions, so a lighting effect. TexVertexArrays and TexVertexArraysEXT are the key here. If enabling the first one and leaving the second one disabled = blue hue. Same if both enabled. But if the latter is enabled and first one not = no blue hue. So does the setting mean that the first setting is game's internal set of them and the EXT done by hardware? Just a guess, but set it so now.

Also..for less stutter and resuming having the 9.10 atioglxx.dll in IL-2 I can recommend in CCC the following settings..

 1) Anisotropic Filtering. IL-2 seems to use 2x only and leaving it to application controlled does no harm nor does overriding it give any fps gain.
 2) AntiAliasing. I have settled with 4x BOX as running 1920x1200. Very few jaggies and online you do not have time t ostare if there is a minute jagged edge somewhere ;)
 3) AA Mode. Set at Performance, using Adaptive or Super-Sampling cause stutter, SS most noticeably.
 4) Texture Filtering. High quality, goes without saying.
 5) VSync. On unless application tells otherwise. No tearing etc. when using TrackIR.
 6) Triple buffering. I have it on, no clear advantage or disadvantage if not using it.

Will post current working conf.ini later on, still at work..

argh... I went to the new fangled ATI card to try and get better FPS but everything I have done with new drivers does not resolved the artifacts that Ive been having when flak goes off and even makes it worse.

I think I am going back to nvidia...

ATI drivers suck compared to nvidia, back to nvidia for when I can get some cash together.  Never ever had issues with with vid card until I got this stupid 5750, the computer crashes/locks (win7) and I need to reset the computer at least 2 times a night  >:(
