S!

DB605, I have them at ATI forums under Simulation Gaming and IL2 related thread. Also nice conf.ini's for nVidia as well. Go HERE and look under AMD GAME! forums :)

Allright, i give up. i tried about every conf.ini settings but it just doesen't run with them. No "green screen" anymore or any flickering etc. but it just wont run, as i said earlier even menus are slow as fcuk and fps i about 0-1. Back to DX8 then (sigh).

Really strange DB605. Are you sure you have Catalyst AI OFF, AA Mode at Performance, Triple Buffering ON, VSync ON etc? What version of game, if modded which mods enabled etc. would help to pinpoint the issue. Also do you have problems in other games or only IL2? Trying hard to figure a solution here :)

Yes it is definitely strange. Catalyst is like you mentioned, game version is 4.09b1 mod, Ui 1.1 (IIRC), and ALL other games works perfectly. The most frustrating thing is actually that il2 is only game which wont work!

Hmm..UI 1.1. It might be there. I did some extensive testing with different DLL's of IL-2 last night to see which ones would give best visuals and perfromance. And I think I found them. Will post later on after work the results, but as reference they all gave same Max, Min and Avg FPS within 1-2fps. But graphical anomalies varied between them. With some I could not play at all if Catalyst AI was OFF as terrain flickered and was squares, with some I could turn it off and get normal graphics. Between those giving normal graphics I chose the best one. Most trouble were with the latest dll's from MG. But results later..

And about your game DB, maybe should go to 4.09m official and either with SAS Mods or UltraPack v2.0..or both ;)

Yes i will go with official 4.09 and UP/SAS mods later when i have time, i think Anto's 109 pack alone will be worth of it   :)

Hey DB605,

try this DLL pack , extract files and put them in IL-2 root folder (backup your files before). Anyway the best solution is to install from scratch as Flanker said.

Hi, just tried these but sadly no joy again. I will try clean install later. Thanks anyway!

S!

DB605. I did some testing and fiddling. The 13.3.2008 DLL's combined with Ati Catalyst 10.1 Hotfix drivers found HERE gives me very good FPS. Sure the blocky text is still there, but clears if you run Black Death track for example. It clears almost instantly after track is loaded. After that game loads normally without the blocky text. I join MP games via IP so it is not a real problem anymore. These drivers work with 5800-series at least..Also check out Rage3D forums, they have links to other driver packages.

Hey Flanker, keeping atioglxx.dll in your IL-2 folder won't do any harm, and you will not have blocky textures  ;)
