Prop disc flashes, blue hue using vertexarrays and blocky text are gone. But i still have disappearing glass parts (i. e. Fw190A canopy and B17G nose/turret) and prop discs (B17G) with my 5870 and windows 7 64bit.
The release notes don't mention IL-2 and they say the driver isn't tested with openGL...

Will report my issues via feedback form

Salute all. :)

With my 5870 (WinXP32) everything is OK.

cheruskerarmin, maybe you have an old file atioglxx.dll in the root directory of the game?

I wish i could say that too... ???

I deleted the atioglxx.dll from my root folder since 10.5 came out.

My test mission is a bomber intercept with B17Gs and Focke Wulf A 6/8. The issue strangely is only displayed with bombers and fighters above 7000 meters altitude, in external view. It furthermore depends on if the planes are flying towards or away from the sun and the angle of view. I don't have it all the time. I'm pretty sure it has something to do with dynamical lights and bad weather conditions/clouds/sun.

If anyone would like to test my mission with his windows 7/64 and a newer aticard - no problem i can send the mission file to you with exact description which bombers are  missing the props in external view.

...it seems everybody is happy with 10.7 - except me!  All missions with aircraft flying in altitudes 7000 m or higher
i still have prop discs and glass parts not displayed, this issue in external front view regarding B17s and B24s ist always present.

Anyone here with a 5870, windows 7/64 and cat. 10.7? Set a flight of B17s to 8000 m altitude and the issue will be displayed - if not  i would like to email my mission to find out weather the issue is on my system only or not. THX a lot!

Catalyst 10.8 is out inbetween, promises full OpenGL 2.0 support, maybe this changes anything. Will try out tonight...

Cat 10.8 are working well.  Does anyone here run Crossfire and is there anything special I need to do to get it to work?  I'm on Win 7 64Bit w/ a 4850X2, and Il-2 runs great with Crossfire disabled, but crashes to desktop at 100% mission load screen with it enabled.

Also, here's my .ini, I think this is perfect mode for an ATI card, but I see a lot of configs with certain things lower or off.  I've highlighted settings I'm curious about why some disable or set lower:

The vertex line(s) cause weird lighting issues (e.g lighting to be illuminate blue etc) so those lines shouldn't be set to 1.
Effects-2 causes issues with effects; it wasn't optimized well by the team behind Il-2.
