I did a search on this forum... and didn't find anyone requesting this model... I also did a search for "IL2" and "Grumman Goose" to see if anyone else had made this mod yet... and didn't find anything on that either...

So... hoping no one else has requested it yet.... here is my formal request for the Grumman G-21 Goose.

It could carry 2x depth charges or 2x bombs......but it was basically a transport...and was capable of SAR.... but that doesn't mean it wasn't important in the War.  I think it's one of the most recognizable planes.... whether it's in Navy blues, Coast Guard colors.... or civilian livery....everyone recognizes the Grumman Goose!

There were also many countries that operated it... so the paint schemes are endless!  Here are just a few (including "Cutter's Goose" from a great t.v. show in which it starred.)















I really hope someone picks this up and runs with it... I think it would be a great addition to IL-2!

one of the very few, very interesting, very sympatic american planes.
Sometimes i dream being a taxi pilot in oe of these, carribean islands hopping and such.
fine piece of aviation!

I have dreamed of having this great plane in IL2 for years. I hope someone someday makes it. Nice request. :

LOL!  Nah... You just love this plane!

There is just something about this plane... The era it belonged to... And the "adventures" that could be had with it... I know some people want the biggest bombs and the most bullets... But this plane has that special quality that trumps all that!

I want to put on a Hawaiian shirt... Fire up IL-2... Pick my trusty Goose... Put some shades on... And sneak Indiana Jones into a mysterious island occupied by Nazis
