I will love a proper Firefly. While waiting, I used this "fake" a lot of times.

Hi, RealDarko. Could the one from CFS be imported? Dreamk has already imported the Letov 321 from there. I'm sure such imports are not easy. But they must be easier than building one from scratch.

cheers

If I had to choose just one, it would certainly be the Boulton Paul Defiant!  ;D

We have everything else we need for the Battle of Britain, except this one. I understand it's a tricky one AI-wise, but I'm sure one of our many talented MOD wizards sooner or later will have a go!  8)

me also like the most Paul Bulton Defiant

how AI can be terribly behaved but in the hands of virtual pilots on servers would certainly apply  ;)

in the worst case, I would be satisfied with a static model but it's all up to moders :)

RealDarko – thanks very much for highlighting those “franken” skins of the firefly – very clever stand-in. Found some other gems as well, while I was there – thanks for sharing that info.  ;)

+1 for all apart from whirlwind as that is apparently being slowly worked on by the ocean modding team.

Blackburn scua witch was the first British to shoot down axis plane in WWII would be nice, and I have a very week spot for the Fairly Barracuda.
As for the Defiant I really cant see the use, you cannot make AI fly it as a fighter posission yourself for turret fire, And if you fly it the gunner will shoot only after threat . But as a eye candy in BOB I see the point

Good choice in airplanes, I like them too.
Maybe one day they will fly in IL-2... maybe

Interesting planes (especially the Lysander... counterpart to the L-5 and Storch !). But instead of the Wellesley, I would rather choose the Bristol Beaufort, the Fairey Firefly, the Handley-Page Hampden or the Short Stirling...

+1!!!

+1 For lysander and boulton paul defiant!! The nearest airport to me has the only boulton paul restoration in the world: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/kent/8013460.stm They should be quite far in the restoration by now as it looked in good shape when i saw it 1 or 2 years ago now (how time fly's and how little time i have :P) Not sure about the other two though would alot rather the stirling, fairey firefly or beaufort as they are alot more useful and more widely used.

Sorry to digress, but you're from Rochester? I grew up in Faversham.

I'm surprised that the Walrus didn't make anyone's list of missing British planes! I believe that Asheshouse was working on one a long time ago. Whatever happened to it?
