Korean War Music Pack
« on: April 23, 2012, 04:14:27 PM »

I took a welcome break from modding to release this music pack. This collection contains songs about the Korean War. Yup, they aren't necessarily mainstream music but they were written by artists who really cared about the war and had something to say. The only mainstream classic I included was Tennessee Waltz (from Chuck Yeager dancing with his wife in "The Right Stuff").

Most of what I found from the mainstream music theme didn't exactly connect with the Korean War -- despite the fact the conflict was covered broadly in the news and movies at the time. So, please don't ask if these songs were popular with the GI's because I honestly don't know.

Without further ado, here are the download links:

Soon to follow, music about the Vietnam Air War. So, nothing from Stanley Kubrick, Apocalypse Now, etc. From what I've read, USAF/USN flyers didn't chop off people's head and/or surf under enemy fire.  (hint-hint ;))

Edit: The Vietnam Music pack that was promised is available for download. I've included popular music and movie scores just to leave more options. Personally, I prefer the air-war music, but it's always good to leave options.  ;) https://www.sas1946.com/main/index.php/topic,26245.0.html

Disclaimer: Keep in mind that I do not condone any of the political/religious references that some of these songs may contain. These songs simply reflected the mentality of the artists at the time. If you cannot stomach this, then please don't download this music pack. Otherwise, enjoy.

All credit goes to the original artists whom wrote and performed these songs.
