Nope, at no point was the TBF ever modified by Jeronimo, you may be thinking about Barnsey12's 3D overhaul at FreeModding, have a look  :)
And +42 for the B-24!  ;D


Do you have a link to this mod at FreeModding by any chance?

I have not done the TBF Avenger by barnesy version existed, and the B-24 I am waiting for the 4.13, believe that it brings many improvements in this plane, but I don't know if that will affect the outer 3d model.

Hi Gents

I've just noticed this issue with He-111 H2 engines cowlings. No problem with other He-111s nor with other planes (AFAIK)
I play 4.12.2m + Modact 5.3 + CUP (WAW only) + engines cowlings and prop's mod 4.12 stock version

If someone has already experienced the same issue and could help, would be nice :-\

You've probably got the only He111 H2 with invisible engines in the game, so main advantage is that enemy fighters won't be able to set them on fire, and this will most probably dramatically improve your RTB (Return To Base) rate ... unless a stray bullet ... but well let's not be that pessimistic ...  :D

... just joking of course ...  ;)

Sorry, can't help you 'cause not using the same game version, looks like a hier.him/hooks problem though ...

The cowlings mod from Jeronimo is already included in CUP (as well as the wheels mod), there is probably a conflict with the one you installed on top of it. Try to remove it and see if it works.
It's always a good idea to check the content of CUP in Monty's very well done manual.

You're right Korrigan, still much useful to read a manual ! I did it, but I must admit that I unfortunately forgot most of the info listed :-[

One thing is sure is that I was looking for engine startup flames + exhaust blue flames, which I didn't get with CUP. Don't know if such a mod is included but if so in any case it never worked in my game. That's why I have added Crazyflak's/Jeronimo's and Co cowlings mod, and why I don't remove it.

To solve my issue I have just disabled the He-111H-2 in the 3do folder of the mod, and it works fine now.
There's only one problem left : startup and blue flames shows at the back of the cowlings, under the wing as if the engine's got a single exhaust pipe on each side, or a exhaust damper. Well it doesn't matter, much more acceptable than a see-through engine ;D

Btw I 'm just thinking about something while writing : unless I'm mistaken there was a He-111 with exhaust dampers in the original game or am I wrong ? In my modded game I can't no longer see such an equipment on 111s. Was it inaccurate ?

On your topic He 111 engines, this is now clear, not caused by this Mod.

Say, Jero? You mind re-fixing the cowlings for Riken's Early B-25s pack? In real life all these aircraft lacked the Clayton S exhaust stacks currently present ingame (Those triangular fairings) and instead had different ones.
Both aircraft had the exhaust stack shown below (As you can see, no triangular fairings):




Schematic I found of it (Apparently given to the NMUSAF along with an actual stack in order to convert their B-25 to a B model):


Oddly, while the B-25A had that stack on both sides, the B-25B had that stack only on the left side. The right engine had this one:


Speaking of B-25s, how's that prop fix going?
