@Fagot: I think your reference isn't quite right. from my work in Architecture, i can say that the technical drawings differ drastically from the 3d perspective views of the game and the real life photography. and also the photography themselves differ from the 3d in game because of the difference in "field of view". the field of view creates quite an amount of distortion depending on it's value. as an example i would suggest: take a frontal picture of your face with your camera from about 30 cm, and another from about 3 m with the lens zoomed on your face. the comparison will astonish you i guarantee. personally i like comparing the ears size.
So i think before we make a complain about the model, the evidence on which we base the complain should be more complete.
The most exact way of doing this in this case IMHO would be to import the Fw-190 model back in 3ds max and compare it to the drawings you have in "parallel view mode"
