I'm sort of a newbie when it comes to downloading individual mod files and for the life of me I can't seem to get any of these great cowl and prop fixes to work.  Any help is much appreciated.

I'm running 4.09 with UltraPack 2.01.  My question is where exactly do I install the files?  For example if I download the Corsair cowl fix I end up with a file named "0_Corsair fix engine cowling and prop".  That folder itself contains another folder of the same name (not sure why).  That subfolder contains the "3do" file.

My game's file structure has a "_MODS" folder and a "jsgmemods" folder.  I've tried putting the Corsair file in the _Mods folder and saw no result.  I then tried it in the jsgmemods folder (and switched it on) but didn't get any results that way either.  I know I'm doing something wrong.

Can someone please enlighten me?  And by the way, thanks for these mods.  They look fantastic.  I just wish I could see them in my own game!

To operate in the 4.9 has two options

-In the folder MODS, for it will have to delete the folder that is located between folders "0_Corsair fix engine cowling and prop" and "3do" (only the folder, the content does not) with this you should work.

In the same folder JSGME reputation we have discussed in the previous example (the folder that is located between folders "0_Corsair fix engine cowling and prop" and "3do"), and call it now "Files", select the mod from the JSGME and ready.

Regards and would appreciate that we communicate the result, Jero. ;)

awesome stuff!
thanks Jero, Birdman....i think that covers all planes i would have requested, but don't let me hold you back while you're on a roll...! :D

The idea is to continue working, I'd like to finish the list proposed CrazyFlak

https://www.sas1946.com/main/index.php?topic=25142.96

as well as many other models that people have been asking for and really need a small fix (L2D, Ki-46, Me 262, He-111, Bf-110 Spinners, N1K family, etc ....)

I have also thought to thoroughly review the Mod Wheel to what I already have the help of Alex T. who has volunteered (do not know what he's done ;D). But this is a subject I like talking, because I have some ideas that I think could work well with combining textures UVW and others included in the Mod

We'll see what comes of this.

 Regards, Jero.

P.S. Sorry Birdman, it seems that I will continue giving a lot of work. ::)

Thanks for your reply Jero.  I couldn't get it to work using the _MODS folder but was able to get it functioning using the JSGME folder.  It took me a bit of head scratching to figure out exactly how the files are to be named/arranged but after looking at some of the other JSGME files I saw a pattern and gave it a shot.

Now I just need to see if I can download the entire 4.09 cowl fix package and add it to the JSGME folder in the same way (although I assume I should delete the single 'Corsair' file if I do).

Thanks again for your help on this.

The reason why _MODS folder doesn't work is simply that it is disabled now. You'll just have to enable it by renaming _MODS folder to MODS folder. Then anything with the correct folder depth (MODS/something/3do etc.) should load in game.

Thanks for the info on the MODS folder Birdman  How does one come to know these things?  I never would have figured that out.

P-47 wont work for me. I have it loading at the top of my mods folder and even copied and pasted everthing into the P-47-N's folders. No luck. I removed the mod wheeels to see if there was a conflict but no luck. Any ideas?

Only thing I can think of is: wrong folder depth.

EDIT

What do you mean?

I mean: #DBW/engines fix/engine fix/3do
versus #DBW/engines fix/3do  (last one is the correct depth)
