A tip : you can use rgb30, the inland water color, on other parts of the map should you be in need of an extra slot. The trick is to choose a texture that can used both as a riverbank and somewhere else ...

Another tip - if you are not going to have 3d trees on your map, then you can put 'invisible' transparent trees in the [WOOD] section and then allocate the rgb24 and rgb26 slots to a texture that will appear on the map without trees on it.

Admittedly these are sort of stopgap measures, but you never know when 1 or 2 extra slots might come in handy.

Yea I try this, but my plane crash when i fly to close ground, It took me 2 days before I realized transparent trees may crash plane :D

Aha ... then the solution is to use this as a mountain texture ... on a terrain sort where anyone in their right mind would never fly that close to the ground ... if you're flying so close to a mountainside that you would hit a tree top, then you're far too close to the mountainside, even without trees ...

Hello MANYSH!

I'm interested in your new Tunisia map!!

And now, I make "Variable Temperature MOD".
https://www.sas1946.com/main/index.php/topic,20264.0.html

This MOD needs MAP side load.ini with new definition lines.
Please help me and add reserved lines for "Variable Temperature MOD" in your load.ini.

In example, Mr.O's Tunis map, I rewrited his load.ini like here...
Code: [Select]
[WORLDPOS]
CAMOUFLAGE = DESERT
MONTH=7
DECLIN = 36
PRESSURE    = 745
TEMPERATURE = 34
CLIMATE = Mediterranean
MONTH, DECLIN, TEMPERATURE and CLIMATE lines are required from "Variable Temperature MOD".
MONTH, DECLIN, TEMPERATURE are Stock1946's parameters. But "Variable Temperature MOD" uses these lines more strictly and importantly than Stock.
New one is only CLIMATE line.
CLIMATE line is used as optional from 1946 without "Variable Temperature MOD", so nothing bad for other MOD players  without "Variable Temperature MOD".

No problem I ask for DECLIN at the beginning, so Declin should be 36 right ?

DECLIN is latitude.
North is plus, South is minus.

Tunis's latitude is 36°48?N, so I set DECLIN=36 for Mr.O's Tunis map.
If your Tunisia map draws more North than Tunis, DECLIN=37 may be.

In Stock IL-2 1946, DECLIN works for Sun's hight and Time of sunrise,sunset.

My "Variable Temperature MOD" uses DECLIN as temperature moving up/down and seasons rotating(South sphere is 6months different from North sphere).
