Hello;
brand new to the SAS Modact so please forgive the dopey question.  I'd like to fly the B17 with Ranwers cockpit etc.  I've downloaded the files but am not sure of the next steps (i.e. actually incorporating it into the game).  Do I just stick the file in the MODS folder or #SAS folder?

In short, can I get the Idiot's Guide to installing a flyable B17?   :-\

Thanks in advance!!

No joy with getting the B17 flyable.  I've stuck the B17mod folder into the #SAS folder.  Do I use JSGME to initiate it?? It doesn't show up in JSGME.
The readme file seems to indicate I should be changing something in a file called air.ini but the readme is less than helpful to this newbie.

I know you are all helping Alessio with the gunners problem, I too have had the Turrets & guns freeze on the B-17/B-24/Boston III.
Once this happens it affects all the game turrets, ie nothing works after one of these is installed. So I have had to delete the game and re-install, & re-install 4.09, 4.10

I have checked my Conf.ini file an the view value is currently 51, reading back through the guide to conf file in Tutorial, am I right in saying change to odd or even number will affect the turrets?

Tell me to stay off the discussion if I am out of line here.
Thanks

Change your Viewset to 36.

S!

Hi! If you want used this cocpits in realistic navigation mode download this http://www.gamefront.com/files/23141392/0B17s_Cockpits_SASdl.7z , delete previous version(after backup) and extract in MODS (or similar) folder

If you want used this cocpits in realistic navigation mode

what do you mean with "realistic navigation mode"?
Do you mean the Navigation features
where player can manipulate the compass,
the available beacons etc.?
They are already available, at least in DBW.

Or do you speak of something different?

I have no DBW and I did not know  that these cocpits are available.
I mean the Navigation features, like default B-25J cockpit, for Ranwers cockpits B-17.
I'm so sorry
