Mission Failed : Null ( in QMB)

So after a long time I have installed UP3-RC4 ( finally weaning myself from Mod Activator).
Only enabled UP3 and Haken ; didn't install ANY mods.
For a couple of days no problem. QMB , FMB ok - checking out the list of aircraft and maps from UP3-RC4 and HSFX5.01 to compare. Flew for hours , about 10 missions in QMB and designed and flew about 8 missions in FMB.

In FMB I tried to make a mission for He 219 Uhu and forgot to make the mission with another AC then change to He 219 in the Aircraft Type menu - got the old FMB freeze that used to occur to some AC mods ( I didn't expect it - thought it might have been corrected for the big install). Open  Task Manager , close UP , restart UP , rebuild mission , fly no problem.
Next time I try QMB I get the message in the Subject Header " Mission Failed : Null" (note this occurs AFTER the mission loads past "90% Loading Humans".

I tried all the maps in the QMB and altered all the aircraft one at a time to aircraft that I had already been flying in this install to eliminate them (maps , planes) from the equation. No joy.

Now I cannot fly in QMB at all.
FMB seems to be fine.

Any ideas from anyone?

open your aircraft's arming screen (click the little button on the far right of each row)

I am aware of the arming screen. Still , I tried what you suggested - you never know. Selected "Default"loadout.


No joy. Same problem ( though I missed the word "Loading" from the warning screen.

" Mission Loading Failed : Null"

Next idea?

Oh , by the way , I used the Super Pack 4.10.1 to UP3-RC4 in 13 components. One of the corrections I tried was to reinstall over the errant current configuration - 3 times.
No luck.

It is highly caused by 2 things: Java (usually weapon) and FM. To be precise, you should look into the logfile when this happen to determine exactly what the root cause so we can solve it.

How to look into your logfile

In the logfile search for "null" and read the related message, it usually tell you what went wrong.

Okay, it's a classfile error. specifically it's related to how the "paintscheme" is set up with the aircraft. it's not much I can solve for you except for pointing it out. But I think you can contact a UP member and ask about it. I think they have the answer. Also, include this in your question:
