i like symmetry.
its is a part of beauty, be that in living things, creations or elemental.
by that definition, the 109 is an ugly sucker, she has the air intake on the side like a blister... ruins his face.
or the 110G, worse with the night-fighter variants with the exhaust tubes...
perfect symmetry? hard to find. the P-38 comes close, when even the engines inside make the prop spin in symmetry. But then it has the yoke mounted o the side, a thing that can be seen from the top.
But then again, the whirlwind (or was it the welkin?) had asymmetric rudder shapes, to attempt to compensate for the airflow.
Or the Yak-42 Chopper whose tail was distinctively bent to one side... yuck.
Other airplanes might not be symmetrical in a perfect sense, with a tailfin bent a few degrees to the left or the right, a rudder shape with different profiles... or an engine , mounted "right ahead" but a few centimeters offset the main axis for a number of reasons.
Barely visible, but still existing!
