In that situation the 98K  would have been worse than useless,
I would have done the same thing, and called in a fire mission on the tommies.

Note the bloke fires his weapon as he gets bricked though. I mean, bloody hell, hiding behind a wall to throw a brick at someone with a firearm... That takes balls. Great big brass balls and no doubt polished to the Nth degree.

I think deciding, in a desperate situation where you have no ammo and supplies, cut off and surrounded by an armed and fed up enemy, that throwing a brick at them rather than running away or surrendering is the right course of action is indicative of some considerable nads right there.
