I've tried to make this mod work several times but no way. Always the same crash to desktop at 70% load. I've deleted everything in the mod folder which has to do with P-40 but still the same. Which makes me ask the author something. When you mention the files plane_ru and weapons_ru, are you referring to those in the Files folder or the one in the MODS folder? And another question. In the weapons_ru file there are some lines which make reference to the P-40-E plane. Should the original P-40-E lines be rewritten with these ones? I'm running 4.09 version and UP 2.01.
ru.properties dont matter, as they are optional. they cannot cause a crash of any type. 70% is usually caused by something wrong with the air.ini.

wrong Mo, 70% is caused by something in one of the ground object .ini. to fix these you probably have to re-install because errors can be a bitch to find here

this is most likely a 60% crash, and not 70%......
sometimes the loading screen reads 70%, and it's actually 60%.
which is more likely a buttons problem.
sakivano, you haven't said what game version you are running.....

Well, I first downloaded the version 9.7 for 4.09m, and thinking they were the problem, I downloaded the buttons I found here https://www.sas1946.com/main/index.php/topic,8993.0.html, with the same sad result. And most curious thing. If I drop the folder +P40 in the MODS folder but I don't modify the air.ini, plane_ru and weapons_ru files, I can fly and I can open the cockpit, but a couple of seconds later the screen freezes and the cursor appears, so I have to Ctrl-Alt-Del to come back to the desktop........  :-[

Ok. And I assume they go to "C:\Program Files\Ubisoft\IL-2 Sturmovik 1946\MODS\STD\gui\game\Buttons"? Sorry for my ignorance, but I'm rather lost with the buttons issue  ::)

i now suspect.....you say it was crashing at 70% loading......freeze after a short while in mission....
these are all symptoms of having reached the java memory limit here, sakivano.
best way to test - remove/disable one or two other mod planes, then try these again and see what happens.  :D
