Fantastic. The P40 was one of the major types used during WWII and this does them justice at last.
Thank you to all the dedicated people who made this possible.

Should we have overwritten the original P-40E and P-40M loadouts or not? I did, and now it doesn't start. DBW 1.71

The entries in the weapons_ru file have no effect on the game starting - so re-install the mod as per instructions.

Simply stating that 'it doesn't start' does not tell us anything.....

Alright, I have went through the entire setup, reinstalling it. It stops, and from what I see on task manager crashes around 28,000K. Anything important around there? Also for the opening canopy section, would Nocanopyopen conflict with it or not?

So I'm not alone with this problem! Same here with DBW1.71.

Yep, got all excited about this pack, and I too have the same problem - game won't even start (DBW 1.71). I disabled WindWpn's #DBW_MOD_Aircraft pack in case these was any conflict with its contents, and still no go. Hmm

Wait... since the canopy opening is enclosed with the game, and we can't remove it... god damnit!

Sorry Eldo - seems you've got it spot on.

Something in this mod stops the game from starting even before the 'load' screen and even before it starts to write a log file.

Tried it in a vanilla DBW1.71 and it failed to load - didn't even get to the load screen...something seriously wrong.

Alright, but what files are associated with the canopy opening? Any ideas?

All the class files are either cockpit or a/c class files, there is no individual file that just controls canopy opening....but does it really matter if it doesn't work in the game?
