Carrier Takeoff/landing with multiple squadrons

In buliding missions (particular Quick Combat missions), I have been unable to "attach" more than one squadron to a carrier either takeoff or landing. After attaching Squadron 1, Flight 1 (1-1) to a carrier for takeoff or landing, I can attach no other squadrons (1-2 through 1-4 or 2-1 through 2-4) to the same carrier or even another carrier. After hitting "set", moving the green line with the circle to a carrier, and left-clicking, the line simply disappears.

Am I doing something wrong?

Any help would be great.

Not sure I've come across this as I can't remember if I was hooking more of the same squadron.  I don't see why you shouldn't be able to.  I know I've hooked at least 4 to a carrier.  They may not all spawn at the same time and I'm not sure what the limit is before it will automatically put the squadron in the air (i.e. deck too crowded).

Are you sure you are clicking the green circle exactly on the carrier icon?  I usually keep each squadron seperate around the carrier so that you can clearly see each 'set' or hook line to the carrier icon.  i.e. the carrier is in the middle "surrounded" by a spider web of green lines all leading to the carrier icon.  Having said all that you mentioned "Quick Combat missions", are you referring to QMB?  I'm not sure that's possible but I guess it depends on which mod you have.  I've only done this in FMB.

Sorry if I'm stating the obvious but I don't know your experience level etc.  No offence intended.

I had thought about that and made sure that the selected squadron was clearly delineated and that circle was placed squarely on the carrier. And while I have only tried this is creating QMB missions, basically a QMB mission is (it seems to me) created in fundamentally the same way as a single mission through FMB. Alas, I am lost.

Well, I was wrong again. Went back to try to set the landing waypoint on a carrier with squadron 2 and realized that I not only needed to place the circle directly on a carrier, but smack dab in the middle of the landing deck (unlike an airfield). Now, I can place more than one squadron on a carrier.

Glad you got it sorted.  That's what I was referring to about exactly on the carrier icon (the center of the ship).
