OK, I did what u said Vega, and the plane took off normally! Thank you 4 help! But I still can't fly this in UP 3.0...

:)

tnx for your report!

i had to check something because i don't like that a plane explodes at takeoff  8)

It's a "tail strike" that makes it explode.  I just tested it.  Just let it take off by itself as you instructed.

yes i know, i'm working to fix it  ;)

Many thanks, Vega, for your excellent work.
Just tried successfully your latest MiG-19 FM by take off - landing on Crimea map.
Two observations:
1. by my fault, I forgot to close the cockpit during the whole flight, where I reached 460 km/h. Nevertheless, the cockpit cover was not damaged. Is it correct ?

2. I landed the crate to 3 points, not the main gear first. I observed that the forward gear wheel rotates around its leg vertical axis, what seemed a bit unnatural to me.

Just my 2pence, perhaps for fine tunig FM even more.
Best regards,
Ivan Uzin

Hi Uzin,

The 2 point is a java thing:

1/It's a feature, I've set cockpit to open at initial state/spawn. AI will close it during the flight. what about you?  ;)

2/That's an error some where  :-[, could you take a few screen?

BTW, what version of the plane are you speaking of?

Thanks,

s3

Here is MiG-19S tol Crimea_1.trk file of the whole flight I piloted personally, not AI:

As I wrote, point 1 was my fault, overlooking the cockpit opened.

Love the plane, minus the fact I can't seem to ever recover from spins D:

Thanks, true, the front gear move a bit weird, I'll try to fix that.  :)

With the right combination of flaps, trim and speed control, this aircraft is really hard to get stall :D

Excuse my not so distinct English, I am not native speaker:
as it goes for point 1, I would expect that the cockpit cover would be torn away at 460 km/h, or am I wrong ?

hmmm...apparently, the thing that make cockpit strong, also make gear strong. So if I weaken the cockpit, so as the gear :-S
But, I'll look into it  :). Thanks for the feed back.

And I'm not a native speaker too  :P I'm a Vietnamese.

Almost noone here is native speaker, e.g. I'm Polish.

After last FM update engines still fail if the difference in thrust between them is higher then 50-55%.
Just set engines to some trust (but at least 55 percent away from either full or null position), then push/pull the throtle 55% away.
If s1 has 2 throtles in his joystick, like me, it is quite an issue.

Also the exhaust texture (the flat one, not particle effect) is displayed for right engine, depending on it's setup. The left on is just a copy of the right. If the right engine is on 90% and left on e.g. 50% the left engine uses the bright, 90% thrust texture of the right one, instead of darker one.

Yeah, I have this problem with all the twin engine jets. But it isn't very important.
