Because the Camel in this game is too slow...It is unable to reach its top speed of 112 mph in level flight...in fact all of the WW 1 planes have trouble in reaching 100 mph for some reason.

Question:
I changed the gun sounds for the EIII to a sound clip of a real MG08, but I can't seem to find the sound files to modify the Camel's MGs to sound like Lewis guns. How would I go about replacing the Camel's gun sounds?

I got no idea how to identify the prs files used by any of the ww1 aircraft.
The E.III is easy because it includes its sound samples.
If you got a working gunsound mod for it please feel free to post it.

Cheers

Improved Fokker EIII Gun Sounds WIP
Here's the gun sounds I'm fooling around with for the EIII. Put them here:
#DBW1916 - \#DBW_1916\AIRCRAFT_Fokker_EIII\Samples
When asked to over-write, click yes. I suggest making a back-up of the original .wavs in case you don't like my sound.
They have that slower, irregular "thud" of the older MG guns mounted to the EIII, as seen here:

(The link won't be up very long, so get in quick!)

This may be a stupid question, but I am not very well versed in nuts and bolts technical matters ... however, some planes in Il-2 will cut off the fuel supply when they go into a dive, like some models of the I-16 for instance - which is why I like the Wright-Cyclone model of this plane so much. To prevent the cutting off of the fuel supply you go into an inverted dive or pull up before the motor shuts down. I thought this had to do with the absence of fuel pumps in early aircraft ...

Anyway I was wondering - should this little shortcoming not apply to Great War aircraft as well? I haven't seen any planes in DBW1916 that have that feature. And if 1930's aircraft had this problem, surely earlier aircraft did as well ...?

Am I wrong in my suppositions? If so, please let me know ... whatever the technical explanation may be ...
