At the present moment I am at work and cannot do that on my other pc with the game.
But I will check tomorrow to see if I have already done this before to the Conf.ini with this new
game installation. I believe I have done it already.
I would not be surprised if my screenshots still come out crappy, specially if I make a very
close-up image,
afterall I am working with a Jurassic Era computer.... it´s almost 8 years old  ;D I just got to kill
it one of these days and put it out of its misery  :(
Perhaps do it like a cool Rock-Star and throw the whole thing out of a Hotel room window and
see it crash on the ground!  ;D BANG!


8 years, thats indeed very old...I guess having updated hardware is not your main priority.
You cant even find parts for hardware that old, but you can buy a quite good pc under 500 usd maybe less.
Anyway dont bother with OpenGL :)

Awesome job you've done there :) Well done ;D
Sadly I think I'll only download it when it is in a more 'finalized' state, unless I get the chance to do so this summer.
Reason for that is that the download is quite big, my net very slow and your updates very frequent ;D

There are 2 major bugs which needs to be fixed and if new aircraft becomes available those will be added but I do not plan any further frequent updates. My main activity currently is building some ww1 campaigns and testing.

No, you do the switch ingame between Opengl and Directx, then open conf.ini and make sure that hardwareshaders=1 must be in [Opengl] section. Then ingame start Tracks/Black death/shift+tab/fps SHOW START and measure your average fps. Is it below 30? Btw what kind of graphics card is in your rig?

a bit more feedback -
okay, narrowing it down, seems like there was a problem with the files in the Cache folder.
when using Mat Manager, we are advised to keep ClearCache=0 in the conf file.
i'm actually not sure if it's a must, or even what the negative effects of not doing it that way are.
so as not to mess with the files in there, i renamed/disabled my Cache folder, created a new, empty Cache folder.
i also disabled the CoopRegt folder that MAT manager uses, and the all markings and roundels now appear as they should.
of course, i now lose my MAT markings, so this isn't the viable option for me.

edit: okay, still checking things out here, it seems that between my fiddling about with the Cache folder and CoopRegt folder, i now seem to have all markings working, MAT and WW1.:D
still gonna test a bit more, but i think it's definitely something interfering between the MAT files in the CoopRegt folder and the Cache folder files.
whatever it was, it's fixed for now, but i'm going to try and recreate the problem to see if i can further identify where this markings problem is coming from.
i'll get back to you if i find anything relevant.
are you using MAT manager in your install, Istvan?

Negative, I do not installed IL-2 Mat Manager for a modded game, too many files.

I have a problem with this update. When it is 85% loading the game suspended. What is wrong? Or what do I do ?  :'(

First make sure you got DBW 1.71, not some older version.
Then delete #DBW_1916 folder and reinstall from vp_dbw1916_update_v1b4.rar, it should work since no one reported load crash so far.

Nice work, some really excellent camo schemes!
I think the allied skins will work well for the Nieuport's too for example.

I adopting this to my UP3 and notice wheels are spinning in the wrong direction with few planes ,and all this "SYP" planes have strange issue with smoke flying around cokpit when using Gurner FX , it is the same in DBW or only in my UP ??

I really doubt that this would be compatibele with UP3 and Gurner FX.
I had to redesign a smoke mod in order to work with planes flying at such max speed which in ww2 was takeoff/landing speed. Also consider that these are frankenplanes.
Plus I can tell from the DH.2 aircraft skin that its not my update installed.
