Well, if that pipe remains on the British RFC version, it will be very cool for painting skins... nice smoke streaks along
the side of the airplane ~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~ ~ ~ ~ ~
Good thing I am leaving this airplane alone for awhile until you guys decide what to do with it, otherwise I will
be spending hours painting skins for an airplane that will not have the smoke streaks on the side.

I have just spoken to Jimmy (The GameKeeper = the Administrator) at Mission4Today, and he has accepted my
humble request to open a new folder in the "DOWNLOADS-4-MODS" Section for everyone to place their World War One
skins into.
Go to > http://www.mission4today.com/index.php?name=Downloads3
and you will see " IL-2-1916 " folder.
This folder will be for everyone to upload/download ALL and every other aircraft skins that belongs in the DBW-1916, or
that have a World War One paint-scheme on it.
He is still setting up the new room for us,
and I will upload the first packages of skins for you...

- Rumpler C.III (2 seater Recon/Bomber/Attack aircraft) = Skin folder - Pioneer (g) = (40+ SKINS)
and
- Siemens-Schukert D.II (single seat fighter aircraft) = Skin folder - Scout_F1_Pug = (40+ SKINS)

There will be Skins for the following nations ... Germany, Austria-Hungary, Italian, British, American and Russian aircraft! 
More nations will also be done as soon as I find out what color paint-schemes they had. I am looking through my books and
many websites for information.

So stay tuned to SAS and Mission4Today,
I will deliver these new skins for you soon. I think your going to like these.

Whoever did the original DBW 1916 aircraft mixed up the 3d parts of Se.5a and FokkerDVII but not the skin folders, so it was very confusing and difficult but it seems that I've managed to solve the problem.
In real life the Fokker did not have any side exhaust pipe but the Se.5a did, I dont know how I not noticed it at the first look.

Dear friends, I have just tried the new DBW 1916 and its looks really wonderful. Nevertheles, the frame rate, in my computer, is dramatically lower than in the DBW, with same settings. Any suggestions to improve this problem, apart to reduce the video options?

You got a folder #DBW_1916\_00_Effects_Smokes_View_Distance_10k,
rename it to -00_Effects_Smokes_View_Distance_10k which will deactivate it.
See if it improves your fps. Also try to test the exact same mission in DBW and DBW1916.
Different campaings and maps may produce other fps result in these two packs.

Very nice skins. They're really needed for DBW1916.
But you could switch to OpenGL at least for taking screens, your work would look even better.
Why you running in DirectX?

Btw do you know about status of Fokker E.III and Dr.1 projects?
