Here is the cockpit of the caudron IV:

Essentially the VI is much the same and here you see left and right RPM gauges working, Throttles left and right and the clock
functions as does the Compass.

The stock Mosquito is the base from which the various pointers were taken and the compass from the Albatross III.

Besides those above the stick and rudder bar are operable as usual, the rest is purely for test on my part to see how these
things are set up so as said previously they most likely are not working quite as they should but at least they are functional.

The RPM gauge uses two pointers which is most likely not authentic for the aircraft of the period but it was better than just
using the larger one that rotates a number of times as the throttle is opened up:

The generator on the wing of the caudron VI is also working using the java and naming convention of the TB-3:

Take care.

Wishing you all the very best, Pete. ;D

As far as I know, Caudron G6 (at least the french ones) never carried bombs in operation

Hello jeanba, from the few photographs I have seen that would seem to be the case but without something definite the option
to arm it in that way was taken and it can be altered if any of you can provide the information. ;)

At the moment the bomb rack on both aircraft is a part of the airframe but I can make that a add on in the arming options so that
the user can have the default option with just machine guns for both types and leave the bomb options there so that if information
does appear showing it the bombs are already in place if if you all want it that way.   I can also alter the java to make it 'TypeFighter'
but you will have to accept the strange behaviour I mentioned earlier, up to you guys I will go with a majority of opinion.

With the IV there was also very little in the way of armament information except for a Wiki quote that it carried something in the
region of I think 220 Kg of bombs, but how they were carried I could find nothing except these images that I took were bomb racks:

Anyway, hopefully something definite will turn up before the release so that these can be as near to the actual as they possibly can
be considering the lack of good information.

I apologise to Istvan for this conversation going on in his thread it really should be elsewhere but these things kind of take on a life
of their own once someone has posted.

Take care.

Wishing you all the very best, Pete. ;D

Pete, very thoughtful but it never occured to me that this would be something unrelated. You're big part of the DBW-1916 development hence youre free to discuss anything you want here. Same goes for Stalker and Gio and the others.

The plane looks lovely btw. :)

For the G6, it was either carry bomb, or turn, but not both :)
I have no record of a french G6 making a bombing mission and no G6 was ever affected to a bombing unit

For the G4, I will check what I have, but I can definitly give you some info

Which strange behaviour ?

If set as bomber, do they use their defensive machine guns ?

Happily there are loads of photographs of the G4 so after a trawl the only evidence of bomb racks I found are these....

There are however photographs of a variety m/gs and gunner positions.......

General shots with some nice markings for the skinners......

Cheers

Alfie

PS Photographs of G6 are rare... bombed up G6 non existant...I fear the G6 was a slow and unmaneuverable reconnaissance a/c   o_O

The last picture is a R6 , the photo of G6 are very rare , I read data of the G6 his have a loadout of 100KG of bombs ( same at the G4) but his primaly duties is a recconaise escort and not have noticies for bomber mission , in all the photo not see a bombs rack maybe have a same  Sopwith strutter loadout disposition .

Gio.

P.S.: the bombs rack is a autors license not historically.

Excellent!
Bomb racks it is then....... 8)
The G4 would make a superb ground attack a/c to rival the Voisins

Cheers
