Carrier Landing from a loop

Hi,

I thought some of you might find this entertaining.  Perhaps it has been done already, I don't know.
I decided to try and land on a carrier from a looping maneuver.  At first I tried it with the Hellcat.  It goes too fast downhill and there is no way to slow it down enough. So, The SBD has dive-brakes so I tried it.  After a few horrific crashes, I got it right.



I could only get 30 seconds onto the movie from my non-registered Fraps.

Isnt there a ntrk in stock game that shows this as well ? Its called  Master Landing (I think), with a Seafire ;D Its actuallay more an Immelmann meaneuver with dead engine :P

Hey, you're right. I guess I should watch some of those stock .ntrk shows.   :D   
He takes off, does a half horizontal 8, throws out the gear and flaps and lands backwards on the deck.   ???

Mine evolved from a discussion I had a couple of days ago.  Someone asked me if it could be done (landing on a runway from a loop) and I said "I dunno" I'll have to try that out in Il-2.  It's tons of fun and I LMAO when I finally did it without crashing.  I should have posted some of the crashes too!  ;D

yeah, that landing is really impressing...yours too lol. I'm not good at carrier landings...unless I got a very stable plane, like the L-39...
Landing with props is also difficult, cause you have to make 3 point landings to make the hook catch the wire...thats why its easier with triciycle IMO :D
I should try that landing too...maybe with the carrier stuka :D

OK, I'm trying :P have to start the loop from at least 75 meters, otherwise I cant recove at the carrier height...

;D thanks! Was a bit bumpy, I was unsure whether I got the wire or not...I almost started through again :P
Definitely a fun way to land...with the screaming sirens ;D
