CY6 allowed me to take the radar sets from his C&C mod and develop them further. So here it is, the all new
Airborne Intercept Radar Pack (AIRPCC) for Command & Control v2
current version 1.1

Features:

- Completely revised search geomertries, accurately simulating the specific properties of different wavelength radars

- Ground returns and ground clutter. Radar performance is now dependent on aircraft altitudes of both the the radar carrier
   and the target, as well as wether you are flying over land or sea. Again taking into account how the different wavelength
   radars performed under varying circumstances.

- Individual radar operator reporting styles, again derived from historical radar performance and taking into account properties like
   scanning frequnecies, accuracy, and readability/difficulty of interpretation of a radar's indicator displays et cetera.
   In a nutshell: Radars and R/Os are modelled to represent their historic prototypes as closely as possible, with every radar set or
   family of sets having a unique look and feel to it.

simulation model and its features, please see the readme PDF that comes with the download.
With these new radars, your nightly intercepts will become way more realistic, and also way more challenging.

- Il-2, of course
- a modactivated install of it, like SAS Modact,
- CY6’s Command & Control Mod version 2
   Note: You need version 2.0, what's inculded in DBW is probably not enough

I had hoped this was bug-free, but it's not. There are few teething problems with the FD-2 radar, which I added just before release.
Will post a patch later today.

great stuff, mate.
must admit, i haven't had as much time as i would've liked to test it all yet, but in the little testing i did so far, it seemed to work fine. i hadn't tried the FD-2 yet, for example.
anyhow, if you've found bugs and are fixin' em, all the better!

You may already know this... I use this pack extensively. It makes for a completely new fighting experience.

A question: is it possible to have the bearings and so on "called out", I mean, so that we can hear them? Like, in some sort of wav-file? I ask because looking at a target, then at a distance call, then again at the target, actually sometimes makes me loose the target.
If it is possible, I am standing by for a german voiceover if needed. (Given instructions, I might even try myself... but I can take no warranty to be able to do so... poor no java skills.)

Alongside your other radar mods and CY6's mods yo have opened up a whole new area for us nightfighting fans.

 I just noticed that CY6 has released his C&C 3.0, i was wondering if the 1.1 patch is included in his release or not mate?

As Command&Control mod v3 is now released, AIRPCC will be discontinued as it is fully integrated in the new C&C.
A new FD-2 patch which will bring the airborne radar components of C&C 3 to AIRPCC v1.1 status will be available within a week or so, and will be announced in the C&C v3 thread.
