Bombsaway's Retexture of The Kwajalein Map.

This a retexture of the Kwajalein map for DBW

Major Update!!!! New map_c New Textures New Seaplane Bases And More.

Credit goes to the original maker of the map and to the makers/editors of the textures I used. If anyone knows their names please let me know so I can giver proper credit.

Install= You must download and install the Variable tempature mod from

https://www.sas1946.com/main/index.php/topic,20264.0.html

Go inside its maps folder and place a - in front of the Kwajalein folder and any other maps you will want to change textures on in the future.

Then place the Kwajalein folder in your maps folder. Place the BA_Kwajalein folder in your _tex folder and thats it.

I hope you enjoy it.

Yeah....Bombsaway...I mean really Yeah!! Wow.the retexture looks nice. I think you have a good hand for colour tones and the overall looking of the textures..

Maybe can I ask you someting.would you like to take you creative hand on some of the eastern front maps? Like Liviv,Riga, Smolensk,Kiev..the most of them looks more or less (as I think ) a bit odd..and outdated.

It`s only a smal suggestion from me.  ;D

I could try but I'm a PTO kind of guy. 99% of my shallows textures are for the PTO and the only other land texture I made before the coral runway for the makin map was rice patties for Mission_bug's vietnam map. Yet, I guess I could try. Give me some time and I'll see what I can do. Do you have a map in mind. Also, summer or winter?

Thanks Gurner. Now if I can just learn to edit map_c and get rid of all the shallows in the middle of the atolls that really dont belong there it would look a lot better. I've been trying but I cant get it to work. >:(

You can use the folders I have in the download and use this entry in your all.ini

Crap! I'm sorry rolf. You will need all the contents of the map folder for it to work. Sorry I had a brain fart. As soon as I get the time in the next day or so I will extract everything you need from DBW to make it work. Just give me a little time. :)

That doesnt work for me because the mapfiles wasnt includet in your DL, only load ini and textures :(
Thats why i asked for the original map.
