That is a mighty nice explosion. Congrats!
All the A-Bomb mods made up to now are all pretty excellent. I like them all, when I
was testing the Little Boy and Fatman A-Bombs for the new models a few years back.

Hi Hangman,

Sorry for digging out this thread after so long time, just stumbled upon this from a request in the lounge.
I tried your latest version and there are some things I'd like to ask:

  • The whole explosion is very impressive, however you'll hardly see the mushroom since the whole explosion effects suddenly disappear after app. 15 seconds (at least they do it to me, with or without cities, with or without clouds).
  • FatMan(circleL).eff has the parameter "nParticles" set to "15000" however the game limits the number of particles to "512" so this extremely high setting has absolutely no effect, see line in log.lst:
    "INTERNAL ERROR: Str2FloatClamp() - Clamped 150000 -> 512 (delta = -149488) to Range 1..512"
  • In the same file (FatMan(circleL).eff) the parameter "LiveTime" is set to "259" which is out of range as well and will be limited ingame to "128", see line in log.lst:
    "INTERNAL ERROR: Str2FloatClamp() - Clamped 259 -> 128 (delta = -131) to Range 0.01..128"

Maybe this helps for further fine tuning of the effects.

Those values are only testing I didn't even knew those limits before this

About dissapearing you need gurners long distance visibility mod if you already have it then I have no idea

I've never been in a nuke blast so I can't say what they are supposed to look like but this is really cool.

It worked for me in HSFX 6.0.17

In your jsgmemods folder create a folder what ever you want like Big Nuke Cloud.

In that folder create a folder called MODS

In that folder create a folder named 00_NukeBig and put the 3DO folder in there.

Activate it

Blow someting up.

I know it is mistel mission, but atomic boom looks the same. I have the same issue with big bombs mod. What is causing this? And what can i do?
