Still a pretty rough WiP. I have Dnepropetrovsk about 70% built, ditto Odessa. This is a shot of Dnepropetrovsk looking NE over the Dnepr towards the steel mills.

The bridge mod is great, but there are visibility problems. You can't see the bridge, unless you get very, very close. There is actually a RR bridge connecting the two parts of the city.

What's the bridge mod?  Can we not just change the mat files in the bridge mod to make it visible up to 5 kms in a stock game?

I spent a couple of weeks making templates for city, town and village textures and it makes a big difference. Thanks for the props.

To Gurner - I need to figure out how to change the .mat file and then I can increase visibility.

Without seeing the mod I can't say for sure but if you have the mat files to go with the bridge tga files you should be able to open the mat file in notepad and change the "visibledistancefar" value to whatever you like in metres.  So if you want it to be visible for 5 kms you'd need to change the value to 5000

If you use my visibility mod you could make the bridge visible from even further away - 15 kms for example by changing the mat file to 15000.

Thanks for the help. The lack of visibility of those bridges is a real nuisance and so I'll get on it tomorrow.

The bridge mod provides the game's bridge elements as normal place-able objects. They do not have the properties of the stock bridges, but you can position them a lot more flexibly.

They are part of Boomer's mods pack.
