I had enought of that ugly old crater texture in IL-2 and I'm pretty sure everyone is.

So why not change it ? Is anyone interested ?

Here are some real examples:

12doze, there are already several mods available for craters.
it is simply a texture paint job, we cannot change it to make big holes in the ground, if that is what you want.
and, although this post is not wrong, it is a bit silly to ask a formal request for another version of a texture which has already been modded.

basically, what you're asking for, then, is deformable terrain.
would be great, sure, but sadly, not possible.
