Yep, I had the same problem with Gurners FX and TFM. Commented out the main view distance classfile 8A318408BB7C513E, and frame rates back to normal 60+. Obviously a conflict somewhere. See  the discussion on this issue in the Full Monty Thread - CWMV post #378. https://www.sas1946.com/main/index.php/topic,28809.372.html

Hope it works for you.

Confirmed for me, FPS considerably reduced using Gurner's Effects, from +70fps over Dunkirk to less than 20fps!  ie: from super-smooth to choppy. Nice as it looks that is one package that's a 'Bridge Too Far' for me at the moment!

Well here's one for you:  I see the same FPS drop that you all do when using Gurner's FX w/ DBW, but the frame rate drops before there is a single explosion or smoke column.  In addition, using Gurner's FX w/ UP3.0 I see no frame rate drop and can have tons of fires and silky smooth graphics.  It something about Gurner in combination with DBW.

One step forward one step back...
LOL  ;D Surely Two steps forward and one back, advancing on aggregate!

So now two steps forward, excellent.  Please let us know how it goes, we have had some issues and updated the package several times as it shifted about with the increasing complexity of TFM.

Hopefully its all pretty smooth now, I still fly these a lot from SM.  ;D

Hi all,
I have installed the Full Monty on DBW 1.71 and it worked like a dream until now.  :(
I was flying Monty's Ace of Spades campaign and had completed Mission 8 a sweep over the Dunkirk beaches, 17 kills and just promoted to Leutnant.

Problem: Starts to load mission 9 but stops at 85% Loading stationary objects and hangs, Alt Tab out of the game has a message
IL-2 6Dof/TIR Enabled Executable for modded IL-2 Sturmovik 1946 has stopped working.

Just wondering if anybody else has had/seen this and a possible fix?

I put this in the original "Full Monty" thread, all Monty packs are in the correct order etc.

Many thanks in advance

I have the exact same problem. I'm running on a clean DBW and Full Monty install. The mission loads and plays fine as a single mission but crashes at 85% loading in the campaign. I've tried disabling the 6DOF Class files and with them enabled, I've tried with only the Full Monty enabled and nothing else, I've tried changing the amount of RAM up and down - nothing has worked so far.

Any help appreciated

Yep, I have the same problem. Works OK as single, crashes at 85% load in campaign. Posted over at the Full Monty Thread also - no response as yet. However I had replaced UV3 with Jiver's sound package with corrected .rc file, whether that may have caused a problem I don't know. So I have reinstalled everything from scratch using Total MODder this time instead of the direct method I used before in case that was an issue and keeping UV3, but so far only up to Mission #5, will see how it goes.

It appears to be sound related. I have nothing other than stock DBW and Full Monty installed. What I did to temporarily fix this was to go to the campaign.ini file in the 1940_Ace_of_Spades folder and delete the reference to the track that was intended to play before mission 9. This at least has let me keep flying....

BrackJabham, (had to hesitate typing that in!) thanks for the tip, I will try that when I get to Mission 9. Weird how the problem expresses itself as an error with TIR though, but stranger things happen at sea...

Good troubleshooting guys! With your info I tested the track on its own and the campaign mission loading with the track and found something in the track crashing at 85%, the mission is fine.

This is one of the hazards of tracks in a modded campaign, they can get outdated.  In this case JG5303.ntrk appears to call for an object or feature that has altered in some way and boom.

Solution? - Repair or replace the track.  Here is a new one then.  This patch will replace the track and provide a new Campaign.ini in case you messed with it.  Campaigns in progress will not be effected.

Same here Tom, its been a busy few months of family, work and business interests.  Damn I'm looking forward to firing up the ol' Skype and talking about Il2 and flying with you real pilots.  Its always a privilege my friend, will look out the weekend after next.

If you have all the latest downloads for this incarnation of Ace of Spades, she should be bug free and smooth as silk.  I trust you will let us all know one way or the other!
