I noticed with shock today that Il2 (I have Version 409 Moded) only support 4 game-controllers. ???

I have my Raceing-Wheel where i need the padals for rudder
then i have had 3 selfmade Gamecontrollers,2 Controllers for setup 32buttons and 6axes
and the 3rd Conteroller was a selfmade Flightstick with 16 buttons and 3axes
all was working pretty well.
now i have send my selfmade Flightstick in retirement and bought me a new Joystick.
from the self-made Flightstick, i constructed me a small touchpad with 16Buttons and and 3Axes
all 5 Controllers working well in my Win7,
but when i started my Il2 and want to setup my Keys in game i noticed that Il2 did not
recognize the fifth Controller(my small selfmade Touchpad)

Have anyone an Idea to increase the 4 controller-limit?
please other Ideas as such that to change to Cliffs over Dover

To overcome this problem I connect my devices to a USB controllcard https://www.sas1946.com/main/index.php/topic,25156.0.html
You can as you say use 4 USB devices in IL2 One controllcard can have 8 hotas and 36 buttons use 4 controlcards and you will have 24 hotas andover 120 buttons

Sorry for question but a USB controllcard the same as a USB-Hub?
