  • "And you can fly, high as a kite if you want to..

In the latest issue of Svensk Flyghistorisk Tidskrift ( Swedish Flighthistorical  Magazine ) there is a short notice of a man called Sune Andersson, who is rebuilding a chrashed He 111. He is lacking plans and documentation of the 111 and the Swedish Flight Historic Society is asking for help to locate documents and plans for this AC. Is there anyone on the forum who has knowledge of where to find plans and docs, please drop a line here or send me a PM and I´ll try to forward to Sune. In the notice it is said this would be one of only 5 (FIVE) complete He 111 in the world!
All help will be appreciated!

Thats kind of nuts... Why doesn't he just ask the Deutsches museum? - They restored one after all.

Only 5 complete ones in the world?  Are any in flyable condition or are they all museum pieces?

That would be the best way to go about it.
There are many books and manuals around the internet that can be downloaded (I have a few), but in this
special case you will need the factory blueprints. Every rivet and every screw must go into its place properly.
This will be a monumental undertaking and will cost a pretty million $$$ if it ever gets built. Good luck to
thse guys and gals doing the job!

I sure would like to see a He-111 fly again!  Would remind me of the ones in the movie "Battle of Britain".  I believe those were from the Spanish Air Force at the time... ?

I don´t think it will be flyable but the guy who started this project is running an excvation buissenes and has WWII ACs as a hobby. From the little info I have gathered he dug this mashine up from a quagmire somewhere in sothern Sweden and has gathered all the bits and pieces and is trying to make a static exhibit of it. There is a small picture in the magazine showing the front part of the plane at the prestent stage.
If anyone  has info or has interest of the undertaking I think you can  either contribute  info or get more info through Swedish Aviation Historical Society, mail: redsft"at"telia.com or sven.stridsberg"at"geol.lu.se.
And yes it is blueprints they need!

Thanks Le0ne, I will forward your suggestions to the editor of SHT. To me it seems that this guy is a "working class hero" addicted to the hard stuff, extreamly entusiastic but lacking knowledge!

Check this site,

http://www.luftfahrt-archiv-hafner.de/

you will find a lot of He111 documents but you will have to pay for. Maybe these are helpful.
