yes,of course really nice,and a milestone forward to a more realistic sim.
But after the discussion in the last days...I cant imagine that this 109 cockpit will availible for the public one day.  very sad.

And the fact that Histomod is still based on the outdated 4.09 game version makes it not much better.

Yes a real pity, Freddy is a genius, unfortunately for us 4.09 users at the moment there seem to be no chance to enjoy this marvell .... as I said a pity...... I wish things would change one day

Personally, I feel this is a shame. Histomod seems to be on 4.09, even though with the advent of 4.11.1 it has been rendered obsolete. As well as that I don't have track ir, something that looks like it's required to use this correctly. And last but not least, I run an unmodded 4.11.1.
However, the features in this video are truly spectacular. they remind of cockpit functionality in CoD.

Yep..totally right.I think these HistoMod guys have the focus on massive realism & online gameplay.That`s the philosophy of HistoMod,I think.
I run a heavy modded 4.11.1 and to be honest,with the core features of this game patch I wont never go back to a previous version.

Hi Semor, if I may I could suggest you to give a try to Histo v5.4, being based on 409 does not mean is obsolete at all!
So much was imported from the more recent versions....
And for the rest, would you really say a 4.11 and soon the 4.12 are really a step forward if they can not offer such a beauty?
Maybe the best is have more than one version of the game, one choice does not deny the other, doesnt´it?

Hi Gianluca,

I have many different installations of IL-2 on four HD's, the old first IL-2 Sturmovik (unpatched) too!

(I love the sounds of the Bf-109's from the old "2001-IL-2 Sturmovik" so much.)

But my 1st and best with a lot of mods (more than 53 GB) is: v4.10.1 & DBW 1.71...

...and all is running fine,

Gianluca,as the most of us here,I have of course more then one game version on my HDD and enjoy all of them.

HistoMod has many advantages-the realistics is one of them.But on the other hand,as far as I can see from the Histo Readme there is no AI improvement inside,It´s the old "dumb-buggy" 4.09 AI.correct me,if I´m wrong.
So,from my point of wiew,TD has certainly made a huge step forward with the actual 4.11.1 and I hope with the upcoming 4.12 too.This is a fact!
Look,I like a "open" game platform,like DBW or HSFX as the base,and the possibility to add every content that I want,to build up my personal IL-2,and to get the most out of this Sim.
I dont think that HistoMod can gave me this freedom,cause it`s not easy to add new mods to it without breaking the whole mod pack.Its more closed than DBW for example and I like the freedom of choice in every aspect!

Yes, the Install is on my HD since weeks.

I'm waiting for a "Mod-Activator" for 4.11...
