The only FM missing in current SAS buttons seems to be D3A2.fmd
You can enable the two other new planes without 60% crash because they use old FMs already in SAS buttons.

Hi mate!

I have just installed and tested the mod (without the D3A2 that need a buttons update!)

1) The class file into the code folder are the one changed by the bat file when you choice between the G4M with full rear gun frame or the Rabaul one!

So don't worry about and put those folder inside the Tainan mod folder to make it work!

2) The bat file for the full change choice should be putted into the Tainan mods folder to work!

In the past I have make a desktop link for those bat files to allow change without open the mods folder every time , you can do the same if you like!

3) Put the map folder into the mapmods to work (remember to update the all.ini file with the new map entry that are the first 4 of the Tainan all.ini)

4) delete the Tainan mod GUI folder or you have a buttons conflict

5) delete the Tainan mod folder with inside the air.ini and the weapon/plane-ru to avoid conflict and CTD

6) ENJOY those new rising sun beautiful planes!!!

cheers

I've written install instructions in first post. You'll have to disable some folders to avoid duplicates of files in your STD folder and add the missing lines from those in the first post to activate new planes and maps.

1) Disable previous Tainan mod folder (should be 1.02)
2) Extract the new one into the IL2/MODS folder
3) Add from previous page 3 the new air.ini/plane_ru/weapon_ru lines
4) Look at my post at page 3 for delete the unecessary folder and correctly install the map and the batch files

.I was able to install and get running no problem, but i used the switcher to keep my betty standard and now i have the d3a1 and d3a2 seperate, before just after install i had d3a1 and d3a2 looking alike.

So what exaclty are the modifications, i read something about radio masts etc. Not really sure except i know betty has chopped tail cone and a skin difference on the zeros?

There is 2 level of batch file in the Tainan mod folder:

- the one at the same level folder of the mod is a general for all the other , with it you can manage the radio mast on some zero (the Rabaul ones didn't have the radio) , the D3A1 late (with propeller spinner) , the tail cone on the G4M1 and finally the skin default change

BUT (as I usually do)

- into the Tainan mods folder you find about 6 (I don't remember at mind) batch files that each one manage a single feature of the previous one (one fo the radio mast on A6M2 late , another for the radio mast on A6M3.......another for tail cone on G4M1 and so on) if you use they you can manage every single future in that mod

Anyway the D3A1 have standard unspinned propeller , the batched have the spinned propeller and the D3A2 is like the D3A1 but I belive that it have only modified FM at the moment due more powerful engine and more extended range (I believe that in the future update the latter shape 'll be historically correct)

cheers
