This mod has been released  for UP 2.1 by this Japanese team and it looks pretty good
The link for the download is a bit confused and some words in Japanese
The link to DL the manual installation version is not clickable, only the link clickable is for the auto install.
Can I run the version with the auto installer to a temporary folder , and from there extract the needed files to my game folders as suggested in the first page of this thread?
IM running UP2.1 4.09m

Just to let you know
I runned the auto install pointed to a temp folder
Then I coppied the Tainan-Kosho mod to my MODS folder with the "bat" file, added the lines indicated in the first page of this thread to my air.ini, plane. ru, and weapon.ru, and activated through jsgme the UP version of the Mod, and the game started fine , no CTD, with everything at the right place.
I have the latest buttons from SAS installed in my MODS folder( MODS\STD\gui\game\buttons)
It might help someone trying to install this Mod

Actually all files inside the jsgmemods folder in v1.14 installer are files that we don't want in manual install. If you activate the Tainan pack with jsgme, that only puts duplicate buttons, air.ini, plane_ru.properties, weapons_ru.properties, all.ini and splash screen into your mod folder, and you don't want that if you have installed some other mods.

Maybe I should update the instructions in first post for the new installer system when I have some time. I have just been waiting for next versions with those interesting planes like Ki-44.

THAT nearly made me wet my pants.  :P

I have been hoping for a Ki-44 Shoki for so long. And obviously its getting close to release now.

Way to go, Tainan-Kosho!!!

EDIT: Wait, I'm unpacking now, and the Ki-44 seems to be there!!!

EDIT AGAIN: Yes, the Ki-44II Ko is there!!!  ;D Now I just need to figure how to install this thing...  ::)

To pull just the Ki-44 out of that bewildering array of files seems to be a doomed enterprise, at least for me. Will try and do a manual install...

Have installed and tested two of the maps. Both works and saves in FMB.

Rabaul is very nicely looking, is called a beta but looks finished to me:



Another map is a small sensation, at least for me. As it shows a big part of Japan north of Kyushu. Great for 1944-45 missions! Or the Dolittle raid! It is called Setouchi, is called a beta and is it as well. It doesn't seem to be populated.



Now I hope and wait patiently for someone to give the word how you do a proper manual install on the 1.2 version...

I hope the Shoki can be released as a standalone plane.  Can't wait to add it to my custom install.  :)
