I'm using HSFX  7.03 over 4.12.2m
My version of the Hawk is Hawk-III_BF2C_v1.6

I don't have a clue what all this means and I don't know what to get rid of and what is important so here is the first of three parts.

edit Gerax: as we only need the third part i deleted all the other log stuff.  ;)

what I see is this:

Needs emd to be added to the Hawk3_FM, and reference line in the fmd changed to access it from there instead of buttons file.

I am surprised the plane loaded without getting a null error.

Just for fun I tried another buttons file, Antos 10.5 for EngineMod here:

So the Hawk is Hawk-III_BF2C_v1.6 works OK.
But I do not know wich implications this brings to other HSFX7 planes,
so I would not recommend it.

Then I tried the Hawk-III v1.5, but with HSFX6 FM and it is OK.
Ccrashh, download and try this mod, maybe its what you need.

Thank you Gerax, that worked like a charm.  There is no link in your post for the other buttons file. I'd like to try that. I have so many backups of this campaign work that I can afford to experiment.

I needed the naval version (BF2C) for my campaign but this Hawk from your link lands at such a slow speed that carrier landings are a breeze.

Even the AI can land it so my campaign building can continue.

No Hook??    No Problem...

If anyone can figure out how to get that other version (Naval BF2C) to work please drop me a line.

I havn't scceeded landing on a carrier, because of my too poor flying technique.

On my version, taking-off from carriers is no problem, no hit its tail or etc. etc.

I tried this button file with the latest version of the Hawk III and BF2C naval version with tail hook.

Works like a charm,, also another plane that was giving me the same problem (Mavis Flying boat) now works great.
