Hey F-22, I think it's a good idea you have, but how extract this rain effect and especially how to add this effect at all the plane ?

You do it the same way as you always do with any mod... extract all the contents from sfs first, compare files look for the stuff that causes it to happen and copy and paste plus a few modifications if required... that's how all mods were originally made.

I recall this effect, not sure if it was a demo or a beta version, there are two versions of the demo:
Original IL-2 Demo
IL-2 Demo v2

Gonna take a look at this now, thanks for posting the links. Lets see what we can extract Hmmm I cant get any rain to show up on my demo versions. Can anyone else?

well I tried two demo versions there on my laptop, maybe my gfx card is too shit to show good rain effects. my main pc is down If anyone else has a  few minutes to spare fire them up yourselves and get back to me. Im really interested in this
