Especially since tools like QOT can facilitate the task.

Can I ask what QOT is? Where to get it to try it out? I don't think I've heard of it ...

Better to have all the trucks, and cars and vans and whatnots already embedded on the map
Yes I can agree about a lot of static objects , but PLEASE, don't do that for vehicles, weapons that can be considered as ennemy targets ... it can be very frustrating or confusing to attack/destroy such  "maps-objects" that lead to no result... and impossible to distinguish from ACTUAL ennemy stuff ?

As mission maker, I also need to have sometimes airbases that look active but also sometimes look abandoned/inactive ?

(I think about that because I, myself, mainly fly as assault pilot)

Whats wrong with placing ships via FMB??

I see no reason for embedding ships into maps at all.

This discussion has little to do with Gio's work btw...

Thanks, gio963tto. It's installed in my DBW 1.71. I'll use the German trawler in the Walrus campaign I'm re-releasing. The Spanish one will be useful in any further SCW campaigns. I'm sure I'll find a use for the British one too.

cheers

That's very nice... it's often better to have objects looked weathered ... and btw - this may not the right place to ask, but still - these trawlers do not seem to emit any smoke from their smokestacks ...
