Well, I would like to have a co-worker with the 3D work and to have someone to doublecheck things so I know we´re on the right path, and then the importing bussiness...  ;D

Actually, the Team Daidalos idea is good - if they like your work, it could be included in an official patch. In my opinion, the D.520 is shaping quite well so it is possible.

I read at the C6 forum that the model was referred to TD and their head designer (or something) thought that for various reasons it was better to start from scratch; so they did, which means that the plane is back to phase One, but hopefully they will proceed faster than before, cheers,

The model looks excellent. SYN_Per, any chance you could release the current one as a mod, even as a temporary placeholder to allow us to create skins and build mission? I would love to see that bird in an official patch, but I think it's very good as it is and it would be a shame not to have it in Il-2... :/

Bad that they had to start from scratch. They probably exceeded acceptable polygon counts - TD is extremely unforgiving about that.

I'm not sure that working with TD was the right way to go with this project. In the past, 1C has forbidden development of early war ETO planes and maps, or serious support for the MTO  - and the D.520 fits into both categories. It could put TD & the developers in an awkward situation if Oleg vetoes the D.520.
